Questions and answers

Everything people ask about posting, paying and staying safe on GetAPlot. More in the guides.

Posting a property

+Is it free to post?

Yes. Your first 2 listings are free and stay live for 90 days each. After that, a listing costs just ₹1 a day, bought in blocks of days (at least 60 when you post).

+What can I list?

Houses, flats, villas, plots, farmland, shops, offices, warehouses and PGs, for sale, rent or lease. For land you can draw the plot outline on the map.

+What happens when my listing expires?

It is hidden from searches but kept. You can renew it from My listings in blocks of 30 days, and the new days are added on top of any time left.

+Can I edit a listing?

Yes, from My listings. Editing keeps the posted date and the time you have left.

+How does a lease listing work?

Choose Lease when you post. You give either a monthly rent or a one-time lease amount, the term, the yearly increase, the lock-in and notice periods, whether you can renew and who pays the registration cost.

Buying, renting and getting in touch

+How do I contact an owner?

Open the listing and unlock the owner's number for ₹20. It is once per listing, and the number stays in My contacts. New accounts get 2 free unlocks.

+Does the owner know I unlocked their number?

Yes. The owner gets a notification with your name, number and e-mail so they can contact you too. We say this before you unlock.

+Do you charge brokerage?

No. GetAPlot does not charge brokerage and takes no part in the deal.

+Are listings verified?

No. Owners and agents post directly and we do not verify ownership. Ask for the documents and check them before you pay. The guides on this site list what to check.

Payments and refunds

+How can I pay?

By UPI, card or net banking. UPI has no extra charge; card and net banking add the payment gateway's small charge, which is shown before you pay.

+Can I get a refund?

Unlocks and time you have bought are not refundable, because the number is shown or the listing goes live straight away. If you were charged and did not receive what you paid for, write to support@mahirapps.com and we will put it right. The full wording is on the Terms page.

Your account

+How do I sign in?

With your Google account. The first time, you also add your name and mobile number, typed twice.

+Is my mobile number verified?

Not by an SMS code at the moment. That is why you should check any owner's papers yourself and never share your OTP or PIN with anyone.

+How do I change or delete my details?

On your Profile page you can change your name and mobile number and delete your account.

+Who do I write to?

Support: support@mahirapps.com. Complaints about content or data: our Grievance Officer, Sanjay Kumar, Grievance@mahirapps.com. You can also use the Report a problem page.
